ÖZET

Uyku, genel sağlığın korunmasında çok önemli bir unsur olmasına rağmen uykunun mekanizmaları tam olarak anlaşılamamıştır. Uyku yoksunluğunun çok sayıda sosyal, zihinsel ve fiziksel sorunla ilişkilendirilmesi, çeşitli tedavi yöntemlerinin araştırılmasına yol açmıştır. Bunlar arasında öğün içeriği ve zamanlaması gibi beslenme faktörleri dikkat çekmektedir. Literatürün çoğu yatma saatine yakın yemek yemenin uyku kalitesini bozduğunu öne sürerken, son bulgular diyet içeriğinin dikkate alınmasının farklı sonuçlar verebileceğini ve potansiyel olarak belirli uyku parametrelerini artırabileceğini öne sürmektedir. Bu çalışma, yeme zamanlaması ile uyku parametreleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi ve bu kompleks ilişkiyi aydınlatmayı amaçlamaktadır.
